Do you really think that everybody is meant to make the world a better place?
Not everybody has to have a purpose on the magnitude of: cure cancer, eliminate poverty, or feed the world. Those examples are large-scale ways of making the world a better place.
Some people are meant to make the world a better place on a much smaller scale. The person who is meant to start a small, local eating establishment that serves healthy food at a reasonable price is doing something to improve the quality of life in that community.
Some people will make the world a better place in a more indirect way. I happen to believe that craigslist makes the world a better place; the "for sale:free" forum provides a great way for people to reduce, reuse, and recycle.
Some people will make the world a better place just by contributing positive energy to it. When an individual is doing something s/he loves, s/he generates a particular energy that is infectious. It's not as important what that individual is doing as it is how s/he goes about doing it.
Yes, I do believe that we are all meant to make the world a better place and that we each have a way of doing that. The key is to free yourself from any preconceived notions you may hold about what constitutes making the world a better place. I'm not advocating engaging in some twisted rationalizations; I'm suggesting that we be more sensitive to how we each can play our part.
"We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?"
From A Return to Love by Marianne Williamson

As long as we unite whatever
As long as we unite whatever races we are, we could make a better place. It's a matter of teaming up with positive attitude.
